This is an exciting opportunity to join a very well established globally focused supplier of footwear to the high street. With a very wide range of customer base including Primark, Tesco, M&S, Inditex and others, they are looking to appoint a strong and commercial Design Manager. The product range is kidswear.
This will suit a senior designer calibre candidate who is looking to step up as a Design Manager. Some management experience is desirable of course.
The key part of this role is to manage the design team in the design and development of products in line with customer requirements and relevant trends. Ensure the designers are trend aware and can initiate and develop exciting product collections built on both existing and new range platforms
Design Manager- Kids Footwear: The Role:-
- You will identify and translate the must have trends for young trend led fast fashion and manage your team to deliver above client expectations.
- Plan and execute professionally required sales presentation’s to the customer communicating clearly the trends and commercial key factors of the product offer and the benefits of the business.
- Ensure the constant development of new product ranges that gives continuity to the business requirements and satisfies the customer’s needs. Meet and build strong relationships with customers
- Understand footwear construction and production constraints
- Produce detailed technical packs and brief suppliers confidently
- Identify and update bestsellers to drive repeat business
- Regular travel on inspirational shopping trips
Design Manager- Kids Footwear :The Candidate:-You will be creative and trend driven with strong experience across all kids' footwear ranges.
- Graphic design experience is desirable.
- You will have a commercial eye which complements your trend awareness
- Computer literate with exceptional CAD skills
- You will have a proven background in designing for the UK retail sector.
- This is a management position so the ideal candidate will already be experienced in managing a team and working in a fast paced environment to tight deadlines.
