Business Overview
A $300mn turnover Chinese manufacturer with factories and mills in China, Cambodia has recently set up a design office in London. They are now seeking a Sales Manager to grow their supermarkets business. They are already selling into NEXT, Matalan and other retailers and are looking to expand into George, Tesco, Sainsbury's and other supermarkets. With a production capacity of over 30 million garments a year, they are best in class, compliant and approved by their customers such as NEXT and Primark.
Sales Manager: The role:
They are seeking experienced sales managers to grow their business in the UK and Europe targeting supermarkets such as Sainsburys, Carrefour, Metro as well as high street retailers.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an experienced sales professional with strong track record of selling into supermarkets and high street accounts in UK or Europe.
- Be hands on with product development, working with factories in the far east, costings and negotiations with both buyers and factories
- Have an excellent eye for trends, product and be able to spot gaps in the market
- Be savvy and highly commercial
- Be a good manager, as they will have a little team of merchandisers, techs and designers to work with
- Either come from a supplier/manufacturer or from a buying background (ideally super markets) looking to make a move into the manufacturing side.
