This is an exciting opportunity to work for a major European supplier of apparels to the high street.
About the company:
With a global presence, our client is a €70 million turnover business selling into major high street retailers across the world , such as Primark, Tesco, George, Peek and Cloppenberg, C&A, Inditex, Carrefour, Aldi, El Cortes Ingles, Galeries Lafayette, etc.
They design, develop and manufacture all kids of apparels, accessories and footwear ( such as hoodies, T shirts, joggers, loungewear, nightwear, athleisure , etc) across mens' , ladies' and kids' categories. Their sourcing and production bases are mainly out if China, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Romania, Portugal and other parts of EuropeThe opportunity:
Due to strong growth in Europe, they are now seeking a highly skilled product manager to join their team in their buzzing head office in Amsterdam.
The product manager will be responsible for creating and managing the entire product life cycle from concept till pre production sample stage.
Key responsibilities:
-Creating tech packs, liaising with factories in the far east and in Europe
-Managing key processes around lab dips, sampling, approvals, etc
-Working with the design and technical teams on all development work
-Attending fit sessions
-Managing critical path
-Working with factories on a day to day basis, negotiate prices, source fabric, propose different alternatives to achieve the right price
-Ensure the right product reaches the right place at the right time
The ideal candidate:-Will be an experienced product developer with strong experience working mainly within apparels (menswear, ladieswear, kidswear)
-Will have solid knowledge of garment construction, and working with factories to develop the right sample
-Will be a good negotiator , when it comes to negotiating prices, lead times, quality
-Will be an excellent manager of processes, be it critical path, approvals, or production
The role is full time based in the office in Amsterdam.
