This is an exciting opportunity to work for a major European licensee of character licensed apparels !

With a global presence, our client is a €300 million turnover business representing over 100 major character brands ( Disney, Lego, Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers, Harry Potter, Peppa Pig, Marvel, Pokemon, Peter Rabbit, Coca Cola, Manchester United, etc), selling into major high street retailers across the world , such as Primark, Tesco, George, Peek and Cloppenberg, C&A, Inditex, Carrefour, Aldi, El Cortes Ingles, Galeries Lafayette, etc.

With these major licenses in place, they design, develop and manufacture all kids of apparels, accessories and footwear ( such as hoodies, T shirts, joggers, loungewear, nightwear, athleisure , etc) across mens' , ladies' and kids' categories. Their sourcing and production bases are mainly out if China, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Romania, Portugal and other parts of Europe.
The opportunity:
Due to strong growth in Europe, they are now seeking a highly skilled account manager for their Spanish business. The Account Manager for Spain will look after all their Spanish accounts such as El Cortes Ingles, Hipercor, Carrefour, Inditex, etc, on a day to day basis.

The role involves:

- Establishing strong relationships with buyers and create an account management plan around how your accounts will be managed 

- Day to day account management that involves of liaising with designers, buyers, far east factories on all aspects of product development, critical path management, costings, negotiations and ensuring the right product reaches the right customer at the right time.

-Travelling to your customers regularly,  track trends, present collections and secure orders

- Troubleshooting any problems and manage expectations well in advance, quickly figure out alternatives or solutions to any problems related to the orders

-Negotiating prices with buyers, costs with factories and focus on improving margins, lead times and quality of service

The ideal candidate:

This is a home based position, you could be based anywhere in Spain , but be willing to travel regularly to customers based in Madrid, Barcelona on a weekly basis.

You will be fluent in Spanish, have previous experience working for a supplier of apparels, managing Spanish customers.

You will be highly commercial and have a strong eye for product.

You will have a proven track record of working in a high volume environment, managing big accounts, negotiating with factories in the far east and in Europe.

You will be based in Spain.
