Babywear Designer

A large manufacturer of apparels selling to high street and online retailers is seeking a talented and experienced Babywear and Toddlerwear designer to join their business. 

It is a hybrid role (2/3 days in the office)

Babywear Designer: The Role:

• Generate and maintain a high standard of design within the customer brief and completed within the deadlines.
• Stay up to date with the babywear/toddlerwear trends and push boundaries with design
• Maintain design development from initial customer brief to order placement. 
• Work closely with the Account Management team to ensure design fits within the required pricing structure.
• Handhold the technical team to ensure the technical packs are well understood by the sample rooms and factories
• Drive design work to produce best sellers
• General customer and supplier support and prompt resolution of queries.
• Managing customers and factories queries.
• Analysis of sales feedback from customers to ensure new designs are based on bestsellers.
• Research and exploration of new product opportunities.
• Regular store visits/shop report.

Babywear/Toddlerwear Designer: The Person:

• Must be an experienced babywear and toddlerwear designer, mainly on the garment/shapes side, though any graphics experience would be great though not essential
• Experience with UK high street retailers like Tesco, Sainsbury's, Primark, Next would be great
• Excellent IT skills in Adobe
• Excellent sense of fashion and skills in art, familiar with the babywear market.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate with overseas factories in a clear and concise manner.
• Positive attitude and approach.
