A successful and growing European licensed apparel business is seeking a German speaking merchandiser to join their business. The role is based in Istanbul, Turkey. The role will suit someone who has worked as a Merchandiser for an European apparel supplier or a retailer.

Merchandiser: The Role:

You will be responsible for:

• Managing the critical path
• Order management from raising POs through to delivery
• Liaison with buyers in Germany
• Factory capacity planning, manage order flow through the season
• Administrative support to the team
• Support the Commercial team who will liaise with customers for prices and FOB delivery details
• Compile costing information
• Compile costing information, manage order book
• Keep the Commercial team informed on all technical and production issues

Merchandiser: The Person:

The ideal candidate

• Will be able to communicate in German (oral and written)
• Will be experienced in merchandising or production within garments ideally with a supplier
• Will have experience in true knitwear as a product category
• Will have some experience in dealing with European customers 
• Will be highly organised
• Will have excellent communication skills
• Will be commercially switched on and savvy
• Will be able to troubleshoot any problem and be solution focused
