Job Description
A large multinational supplier of multi-product apparels is seeking a Product Developer within their Newborn product category. The purpose of the role is to develop trendy Newborn product line with the support of designers and present to the collections to buyers.
The role is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It will suit someone who is in their early career seeking to get on a fast learning curve in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to develop a broad spectrum of skills that will shape your career.
Product Developer (New Born)- The Role:
- Present fresh and on-trend product concepts and ideas to buyers
- Work closely with design and production teams to develop commercial ranges for the buyers
- Work closely with manufacturers to have a keen eye on the latest developments (fabrics, patterns, constructions, mixes etc) so that you are offer is competitive and exciting.
- Deliver commercial and fresh product ideas to customers.
- Work closely with merchandising to ensure costs are managed and margins are ensured
- Work closely with Merchandising and Technical teams to ensure development samples and price quotes are timely and accurate.
Product Developer (New Born) - The Candidate
- Prior experience in buying, design or product development within the UK/European markets
- Experience in Newborn category (design or product development or buying)
- Excellent interpersonal skills to develop strategies for the brand to gain a competitive edge.
- Excellent communication skills to work across all functions to ensure the best product offer.
- Commercially driven with strong negotiation skills.
- Resourceful, organized, energetic, analytical and competent.
- Able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines. A self starter and problem solver
Product Developer (New Born) - The Package:
