Business Overview
A $30mn turnover Knitwear manufacturer in India is seeking a Sales Manager to grow their US/North American business. They already have a steady business in UK/Europe selling to H&M, AllSaints, PVH etc. In the US, GAP and Aeropostale are their major customers.
Knitwear Sales Manager: The role:
They are seeking experienced sales managers to grow their business in the US / North American markets targeting businesses such as LOFT, A&F, Francesca etc.
- Manage sales with the core aim to grow business with existing customers and bring in new customers
- Ensure that the order volume fills the production capacity of the business
- Work closely with buyers on product development and concept
- Open new doors with US / North American knitwear retailers and brands
- Work closely with design and technical teams
- Present ranges to buyers and close new orders
- Lead a team of merchandisers to manage the order from sample production to bulk order delivery, working hand in hand with the production team
Knitwear Sales Manager: The person:
The ideal candidate:
- Will be an experienced Knitwear Sales Manager with a track record in onboarding new customers (mainly US)
- Will be passionate about product and trends
- Will have a good knowledge of product (fabrics/trends)
- Will be adept in costings and negotiations
- Will have strong communication skills
- Will be a team player, be able to work cross functionally with design, product development and production functions
- Will come from a manufacturing background
