About the Business
My client is a manufacturer of technical outerwear. Based in Indonesia, they turnover ~$50M a year selling mainly to US customers including Ralph Lauren, VF, PVH, LuLu, A&F, Ann Taylor, Hugo Boss etc. They are seeking a Sales Director to lead their Business Development
Sales Director: The Role
- Lead the Business Development, Account Management and Merchandising functions with the core aim to grow business with existing customers and bring in new customers
- Ensure that the order volume fills the production capacity of the business
- Work closely with buyers on product development and concept
- Open new doors with US and European premium outerwear retailers and brands
- Work closely with design and technical teams
- Present ranges to buyers and close new orders
- Lead a team of merchandisers to manage the order from sample production to bulk order delivery, working hand in hand with the production team
Sales Director - The Person:
The ideal candidate:
- Will be an experienced Sales Director with a track record in onboarding new customers (European and US branded retailers such as Lacoste, Jack Wolfskin, The North Face, Pentland Brands etc)
- Will be passionate about product and trends
- Will have a good knowledge of product (fabrics/trends)
- Will be adept in costings and negotiations
- Will have excellent communication skills
- Will be a team player, be able to work cross functionally with design, product development and production functions
We are looking for someone with a passion for Business Development and experienced in Outerwear sales. The role will be responsible to expand the customer base and to build long term relations with the customers.
Package: For the right candidate the package can be in excess of $250,000 a year (net of tax) including a share of profits as bonus + expat benefits (paid accommodation, car/driver)
