Sales Director - Home

A large multinational supplier with a turnover of $500M is seeking a talented Sales Director to join their business in Europe. The mandate of the role is to grow the Home category in Europe and the UK. The home category includes soft and hard goods including furniture and kitchen. 

About the Business

My client is a multi-product global supplier. They source from 250 factories across Asia, Turkey and North Africa selling apparel, accessories, footwear and home products to retailers in the US and Europe mainly. 

Sales Director: The Role

The key responsibilities for the role include

• Lead the Business Development for the Home category in Europe stating with anchor customers in Germany and Sweden
• Manage and grow existing accounts in Europe
• Work closely with buyers on product development and concept
• Work closely with design and technical teams
• Work heavily with factories and managing the critical path, ensuring timely deliveries
• Present new ideas and product concepts to buyers and closing new orders
• Building strong relationships and identifying gaps in the market

Sales Director: The Person

The ideal candidate will be someone who

• has a strong network of buyer contacts in the sector
• has a successful track record of delivering high volume sales with European retailers
• has a proven record of growing business in soft as well as hard goods categories
• can work with remote merchandising and production teams
• work independently with minimal supervision

The person can be based anywhere in Europe with occasional travel to their offices in Spain/Italy and visit their overseas offices in Asia.  

Salary: Up to €120,000 + attractive bonus on performance
