Sales Manager (Apparels) - European Supermarkets & high street retail

Business Overview

A global supplier of apparels (ladies and menswear) is seeking a Sales Manager to grow their European supermarkets and high street retail business.  They are already present in Southern Europe, they are looking to expand into France, Germany (DACH), Benelux and Scandinavian regions. Target customers: C&A, H&M, Aldi, Lidl, NewYorker, Zalando, OVS etc. 

Sales Manager: The role: 

They are seeking experienced sales managers to grow their business in Europe targeting supermarkets such as Carrefour, Metro, Aldi, Tchivo, Takko Design, KiK and Lidl as well as high street retailers such as C&A, NewYorker.

The Sales Manager will be supported by a 20 member design team across (Barcelona, Dubai and the far east). Sales will be supported by merchandising, technical and quality teams in sourcing locations. 

The Sales Manager will report to Global Sales Director based in London. The role is hybrid remote. The person could be based anywhere but should be able to travel to meet the customers

The ideal candidate will:

- Be an experienced sales professional with strong track record of selling into supermarkets and high street accounts in Europe.

- Be hands on with product development, working with factories in the far east, costings and negotiations with both buyers and factories

- Have an excellent eye for trends, product and be able to spot gaps in the market 

- Be savvy and highly commercial

- Be a good manager, as they will have a little team of merchandisers, techs and designers to work with

- Either come from a supplier/manufacturer or from a buying background (ideally supermarkets) looking to make a move into the supplier side.
