Backpack Designer

An iconic Hong Kong brand, has an exciting new opportunity for a talented and passionate designer to join their team in London on a freelance basis. 

Backpack Designer - The role:

• Support and work with the handbag design team on the conception and the designs of the the collection

• Product range include backpacks, totes, hip pack, cross body, travel bag, messengers, duffles etc

• Render designs in various software programmes such as Illustrator, Photoshop and equivalent

• Attend collection development meetings and frequently visit the factory and suppliers

• Interact and build rapport with clients

• Be able to collaborate with team on style, detail, material embellishment

• Prepare design presentations and work on other ad-hoc projects as required

• Produce technical sheets and administrative collection overview documents

Backpack Designer - The Candidate:

• Specialised in sophisticated images and pattern designs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Expert technical knowledge and a background in backpacks

• Great organisational and time management skills

This role is most suited to someone who is enterprising and can work with minimal supervision.
