Our client is a global bluechip manufacturer of apparels to the UK high street. With a turnover of over $400 million, they have a strong presence in the UK and European markets.

They specialise in multi product (wovens, knitwear, jerseys and outerwear) categories across menswear, ladieswear and kidswear.

Due to growth and expansion, my client is seeking a talented Kids/Children Outerwear Designer to join their team in China.

• You will be working with the Head of Design, to creatively develop ranges with the customer, identifying trends , shopping and travelling overseas, liaising with buyers etc. 
• Putting together ranges, attending presentations, developing product and relationships from concept stage through to sampling.

Kids Outerwear Designer – Candidate Requirements

• Applicants must have at least 2-3 years commercial design experience within kidswear (retail or supply side)
• Experience within most fabric types (jerseys and wovens)
• CAD skills are desirable
• Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
• Ability to liaise with buyers, suppliers and factories
• Good knowledge of garment construction, fit and offshore manufacturing is essential
• Confident presentation skills, a team player and commercial thinker
