Our client is a well known ladieswear supplier to the high street. With a turnover of over £20 million in the UK, they supply to established high street retailers such as Arcadia Group, Primark/Pennys, Peacock etc.

They specialise in multi product (wovens, knitwear and jerseys) categories.

Due to growth and expansion, my client is seeking a Woven Designer (ladieswear) to join their design department.

• You will be working with the Design Director, to creatively develop ranges with the customer, identifying trends and catwalk inspiration, shopping and travelling overseas, liaising with suppliers/manufacturers, mills etc. 
• Putting together ranges, attending presentations, developing product and relationships from concept stage through to sampling

Ladieswear Woven Designer: The Candidate:

• Applicants must have 2-5 years of commercial design experience within woven (retail or supply side)
• CAD skills are desirable.
• Good knowledge of fabrics
• Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
• Ability to liaise with buyers, suppliers and factories
• Good knowledge of garment construction, fit and offshore manufacturing is essential
• Confident presentation skills, a team player and commercial thinker
