Our client is a very large international manufacturer of apparels, based in Central London. Due to strong growth, they are seeking a talented Account Manager to grow and manage their UK retail customers.
Excellent work culture, young, dynamic team of turning over £25 million and growing by double digits every year.
Account Manager/Wholesale Merchandiser: The role:
The role involves managing certain key high street accounts across multi product areas. It involves liaising with factories in the far -east, managing critical path among others.
This role will be suitable for someone with strong merchandising background, with some account management experience.
Responsibilities:- Working closely with buyers on product development and concept
- Working closely with design and technical teams
- Working heavily with factories and managing the critical path, ensuring timely deliveries
- Presenting ranges to buyers and closing new orders
- Building strong relationships and identifying gaps in the market
- Managing costings and negotiating with factories and buyers to achieve maximum margin
The ideal candidate:
- Will be a strong merchandiser with some account management experience
- Any experience in menswear apparels will be an advantage though not essential.
- Will be passionate about process and sales
- Will be a team player, be able to work cross functionally with design , production, merchandising functions
- Have a strong business acumen and be motivated to grow into a senior commercial management position
