Fabric Sales Director (Wovens) - US Markets
Business Overview
A large manufacturer of woven fabrics is seeking a Sales Director to manage and grow their US market. They are already quite strong in the market, selling $400M to retailers and brands in the US. Current customer base include GAP, H&M, PVH, VF Corp, Levis, Kantoor Brands, Patagonia etc. The role is 100% remote based, ideally the candidate will be US based so that they can travel and meet customers regularly.
Sales Director: The role:
They are seeking experienced Fabric Sales Director to manage and grow their business in the US.
The Sales Director will be supported by a strong team of designers and developers offshore. Sales will be supported by merchandising, technical and quality teams at manufacturing units.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an experienced woven fabric sales professional with strong track record of selling into US brands and retailers.
- Be hands on with product development, working with factories in the far east, costings and negotiations with both buyers and factories
- Have an excellent eye for trends, product and be able to spot gaps in the market
- Be savvy and highly commercial
- Either come from a supplier/manufacturer or from a buying background looking to make a move into the manufacturing side.
