Technical Manager - Vietnam

About the Company

Our client is a large manufacturer of outerwear in Vietnam. They manufacture high end down-filled, seam-sealed, bonded and technical outerwear for brands including Hugo Boss, PVH -Tommy, Ralph Lauren etc. They are seeking a Senior Technical Manager with a wealth of knowledge and experience to join their large setup in Hanoi, Vietnam. 

Technical Manager: The role:

• Manage the relationship between buyer's technical and design teams and in-house sample development and production teams
• Deal with the buyers technicians on pattern making, pattern grading, sample development etc
• Manage garment FIT checks and share the know-how for correction of patterns
• Run all FIT meetings
• Communicate with all Technical Teams regularly to discuss development progress and share information on new initiatives/techniques
• Study buyer tech pack, sample and comments thoroughly before making samples
• Be the leader in all aspects related to "Garment Construction"  and "Pattern Making" and work with other functions including technical, design and product 

• Training operators to improve skill levels

Technical Manager: The person:

• The ideal candidate will have a Technical background having worked for a mass market brand such as Hugo Boss, PVH, The North Face, Lacoste etc.
• Technical experience in Outerwear is essential
• Will have extensive knowledge of pattern making, pattern grading and sample development
• Will have experience in running FIT sessions
• Full understanding of garment construction and the use of machinery in production
• Great communication skills
