The Company
A Childrenswear brand (0-14) is seeking a talented and experienced designer (garment and print) to join their team in London.
Childrenswear Designer – The Role
- To work as part of the Design team to build ranges and put together collections in the brand's handwriting
- Driving innovation and trend into collections ensuring freshness is maintained
- To play a significant part in developing the seasonal mood boards, colour palette, big ideas and innovation for each season through research of on-going and future trends, competitor benchmarking and colour analysis.
- Provide creative support during the product development process by looking for and implementing innovation in design to keep the range fresh and different.
- Handover clear and concise design and information to Garment Technology team for product technical packs and work with the Garment Tech team to ensure samples fit correctly and reflect the design vision.
Childrenswear Designer – The Candidate
- With a background in print and garment design you’ll be highly experienced in Childrenswear and have a good understanding of garment and textile design.

You’ll need to have an imaginative eye and constant motivation for creating new inspiring looks for customers.

Highly experienced in Adobe Illustrator and a good understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite.
- A real team player. Liaising with the buying team, suppliers and other departments on a regular basis in terms of fabric, design, shapes, colours and policies etc.
- Staying ahead of trends and researching new ideas is vital so as to have a competitive advantage over other brands
- A strong and driven communicator. The role will require you to regularly present clearly and concisely on trends through photos, drawings and samples to suppliers and the wider team.
- Attention to detail to ensure that critical paths, sales and reports are monitored and all details regarding measurements and phasing in of products are met.
