About the Business

A large multi-site manufacturer of knitted garments in India is seeking a Garment Dyeing consultant to help them set up a Dyeing unit. The role will suit someone who has prior experience of setting up a production unit from scratch. The position could be on a consultancy basis or as a full time staff.

Garment Dyeing - Consultant: The Role

• Put together a plan including budget for setting up a small sized dyeing unit (~90K garments a month)
• Advise and support in the selection of equipment/machines to set up the production line
• Advise and support in raw material selection and their sourcing to ensure finished product meets customer requirements 
• Develop the Standard Operating Procedures for the unit
• Develop capabilities for continuous product development to support business growth 

• Troubleshoot at different stages of process in development as well as bulk to achieve the target finish

• Help in the recruitment and training of staff

Garment Dyeing - Consultant: The Person

The ideal candidate will

• have experience in setting up Garment Dyeing units (preferably knits)
• be able to travel and work out of India at least a week a month
• have knowledge of production and customer expectations (VF, PVH)
• have a proven track record of introducing new ideas/finishes (product development)
• be able to communicate in English (Oral and Written)
