Sportswear Designer - Menswear
A large performance wear manufacturer is seeking a talented Sportswear Designer - Menswear on a freelance basis. The role is to be remote (work from home). They are looking for a commitment of up to 3 days a week.
About the Business
Our client is large performance wear manufacturer selling into GAP (incl Athleta), LuLu, Aloyoga, Nike and Adidas.
Key products are TEAM wear, PRO TEAM wear, gym line, sweats, active and performance wear mainly for men.
Sportswear Designer - Menswear: The Role:
- Conduct research, analyse competition to assist in the development of product strategy. Identify gaps in the current offering
- Develop ranges and collections for target customers - GAP (incl Athleta), LuLu, Aloyoga, Nike and Adidas
- Work closely with the Design team of the manufacturer to translate ideas into products
Sportswear Designer - Menswear: The Person:
The ideal candidate will:
- be from a strong design background within sportswear/athleisure ideally from a retail or brands background
- have a track record of accuracy in trend forecasting
- be thorough in putting together technical packs with detailed design specifications
- be able to work remote with the entire design, product development, sampling infrastructure being overseas
- be self motivated
- be a self starter and can work with minimal support
