A large fabric mill is keen to invest in the manufacture of athleisure and performance wear fabrics. They are seeking a Technical Expert in Fabric Development to help them set up the manufacturing capability of athleisure and performance wear fabric. 

The candidate will have the designation of Head of Innovation and report to the CEO and Executive Director of the business

Fabric Developer: The Role

• Lead the development of athleisure and performance fabrics to meet with market requirements and business opportunities
• Project manage the roll out of equipment and machinery for production. This will include the selection of equipment/machinery for the entire production process starting from raw material to finished fabric 
• Design and setup end to end processes including the selection of Raw Material, weaving, Fabric processing etc, ensuring efficiency
• Setup and oversee continuous new product development for business growth.
• Troubleshooting at different stages of process in development as well as bulk for achieving target fabric

Fabric Developer: The Person

• In depth product knowledge, insights on cutting edge innovation and overall understanding of athleisure business

• Proven track record of successful development of athleisure and performance wear fabric at scale

• Can start from scratch 

• Good communication and training skills

The role can be full time or a consultancy.
