E-commerce Director
My client is a successful apparel business in the midlands. Their nascent online platform has proven to be successful already selling GMV of £50K a day, mainly fashion apparels and accessories. They are looking for a eCommerce Director to help them scale up the business
This entrepreneurial role is suitable for someone who has had experience in scaling start-up eCommerce businesses.
E-commerce Director - The Role:
- Manage the eCommerce business, being responsible for P&L and growth of the online channel
- Scale up operations to tap into the growing market of online shopping
- Build systems, processes and teams to scale up operations
- Build internal skill set and capabilities to support and enable growth
- Control and manage buying & merchandising, inventory and the eCommerce platform

Manage all aspects of the eCommerce business including, business planning, content strategy and development, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design, customer service, web analytics and web technologies

Design, evaluate, prioritise, develop, manage, implement and test eCommerce initiatives

Develop and execute strategic and tactical business plans

Build and direct a cohesive team of internal and external personnel to effectively develop eCommerce solutions
E-commerce Director - The Person:
- Previous experience working in eCommerce environment
- Strong experience in trading, managing buying and merchandising functions with proven track record in commercial achievements
- Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills
- eCommerce platform knowledge desirable
- A passion for achievement; integrity and drive with a strong desire to make things happen
This is a hands-on leadership and implementation role, with full accountability for the success of eCommerce as it goes through a period of rapid expansion. It is a great opportunity for an accomplished eCommerce Director to lead a business that has truly outstanding growth prospects
