- A large global supplier is seeking an experienced Footwear Sales Manager with a proven track record to grow their European business
- Salary up to €75,000 plus share of profits
Overview:
A large global supplier is seeking a talented and experienced Footwear Sales Manager to grow their European footprint. Turning over ~$600M, the business sells multi-product apparel, accessories, footwear, home and hard goods to retailers in the US and Europe. The Footwear business is the smallest segment selling less than $10M a year.
The Footwear Sales Manager will primarily be responsible to bootstrap and develop the footwear business in Europe selling to mass market retailers. The Sales Manager will use existing customer relationships of the business as well as introduce new customers. Sourcing will be primarily from China and India. The products are mainly casual ladies footwear (flip flops, sandals etc).
This is an entrepreneurial role. The ideal candidate will be someone with an existing network of contacts with footwear buyers, unafraid to build up a new business.
The role is remote (work from home) with regular travel to meet buyers/customers. Design, development and merchandising functions are all based overseas (across China and India mainly).
Footwear Sales Manager - The Role:
You will be responsible for
- Working closely with buyers on product development and concept
- Opening new doors with European Footwear retailers and brands
- Working closely with design and technical teams based overseas
- Presenting ranges to buyers and closing new orders
- Building strong relationships and identifying gaps in the market
- Leading a team of merchandisers to manage the order from sample production to bulk order delivery, working hand in hand with the sourcing team
Footwear Sales Manager - The Person:
The ideal candidate:
- Will be an experienced Sales Manager with a track record in Footwear Sales to European retailers
- Will be passionate about product and trends
- Will have a good knowledge of product
- Will be adept in costings and negotiations
- Will have strong communication skills
- Will be a team player, be able to work cross functionally with design, product development and production functions
- Will have a strong network of contacts with footwear buyers
We are looking for someone with a passion and drive to do a good job. The role will be responsible to build long term relations with the customers.
Package: Up to €75,000 + share of profits
