A kidswear specialist manufacturer and trading house based overseas is seeking a talented Kidswear Designer on a freelance basis. The role is to be remote (work from home). They are looking for a commitment of up to 3 days a week for a long term contract. They are looking for someone who has prior experience in designing for brands such as Gap Kids or Ted Baker Kids. 

About the Business 

Our client is based in SriLanka. They are a multi-product supplier to UK high street retail customers. 

Kidswear Designer: The Role:

• Conduct research, analyse competition to assist in the development of product strategy. Identify gaps in the current offering
• Develop ranges and collections to bring mid-market brands styling to the UK high street
• Work closely with the Sales and product development teams to translate ideas into products

Kidswear Designer: The Person:

The ideal candidate will:

• be from a strong design background within kidswear ideally from mid-market brand such as Ted Baker Kids 
• have a track record of accuracy in trend forecasting
• be thorough in putting together technical packs with detailed design specifications 
• be able to work remote with the entire design, product development, sampling infrastructure being overseas
• be self motivated
• be a self starter and can work with minimal support

Fees: Day Rate of up to £250 a day
