  • Large international apparel buying house ($400M turnover) is seeking a talented Sales Manager - European Markets 
  • Key Market: Germany and Scandinavia selling fashion and lifestyle apparel
  • Customer profile: Upmarket brands Marc O'Polo, Hugo Boss
  • 100% remote work with travel to customers

The Company:

Our client is a successful and growing buying house that specialises in multiproduct apparels (knits, woven, jersey and denims across ladies and mens categories). They have a very strong presence in German and Scandinavian markets selling into upmarket retailers and brands. They are seeking a Sales Manager to join their growing team. The primarily responsibility will be to introduce new accounts to the business in addition to growing them.   

The ideal candidate will have a successful Business Development background with strong networks with retailers, brands and department stores in Europe. 

Sales Manager-Europe- The Role:

You will be responsible for

  • Working closely with buyers on product development and concept
  • Opening new doors with European retailers and brands
  • Working closely with design and technical teams
  • Presenting ranges to buyers and closing new orders
  • Building strong relationships and identifying gaps in the market

Sales Manager - The Person:

The ideal candidate:

  • Will be an experienced Sales Manager (apparel background with some textile knowledge) with a strong network of buyer contacts
  • Will be confident in understanding buyer needs/requirements,
  • Will be adept in costings and negotiations
  • Will have strong communication skills to be understood by the factories 
  • Will have a strong commercial track record
  • Will be passionate about product and fashion trends 
  • Will be a team player, be able to work cross functionally with design, production, merchandising functions
  • Language skills will be an advantage- German, Swedish or Danish
